August Lifestyle Challenge

Here we are...AUGUST of 2011! Time for another challenge....

For those new to the challenges, it isn't to compete against others. It's to push yourself to greater heights, have some company & inspiration along the way, and a few ideas the help get us focused. For example, you can use this waving of the analytical knife to help organize your goals:

1) Exercise - Set a specific plan or goal(s). Keep us posted weekly (or more) on your progress!

2) Creativity - Music, art, writing, acting...set a goal to complete by month's end. Keep us posted!

3) Personal life - Re-affirm your personal relationships, get to that project/chore you've been avoiding, or just read a book you've always wanted to read!

4) Professional life - Set a work goal or change jobs or....just tell us what it is and keep us posted!

I'll post my goals below, and then provide weekly up-dates...

How about YOU?

  1. OK...

    1) Back on track exercising after my schedule was burned all to hell this past month! Tuesday was 50 chins, 50 pulls, 100 squats, & 400 calf raises before the baby said "Yo! Feed me!".

Yesterday I get in some light weights & a couple rounds of TABATA!

    2) This is off the scale....just wanna have some fun gigs at Ft Knox & the KBS challenge in Louisville, then get back to finish up the new CD!

    3) I have a personal life...?

    4) My goals are posted in another blog entry (see yesterdays for an up-date).

  3. Have made lots of progress in musical goals this past month. Have spent a lot of time on Writing. While I have many "unfinished canoes" am am nearly complete on a solo fingerstyle composition that I am really liking. The process is really helping shake some of my old writing partners(Mr. Self Doubt and Captain Perfectionist)

Performing is going great. Have been on Woodsongs Stage twice. Great experience and making lots of outstanding connections through that. Also, after last central Kentucky guitar night, was talking with Chris Weiss and David says "you should have this guy on." This was one of my goals. Well, will be playing Central Kentucky Guitar Night at Natasha's on the 15th of August. How cool is THAT!!???
